
Geoff Le Page joined the predecessor accountancy practice of Ernst & Young Guernsey in 1973 where he gained experience in all aspects of accounting, auditing and taxation and eventually specialised in the accounting and auditing of privately owned investment and property holding companies. In 1988 he was appointed a senior manager in Ernst & Young Guernsey’s corporate and trust administration department, which provided offshore services to a large and diverse international client portfolio, both private and corporate, involved in various activities such as the holding and trading of all types of investments, patents etc., general trading, private trusts, employee benefit trusts, and property investment and development.
In 1998, he was appointed a director of The Monument Trust Company Limited, Ernst & Young’s Guernsey based trust company and, following the sale of the trust operation to The Royal Bank of Canada (Channel Islands) Limited (“RBC”) in 1999, moved to RBC where he served as a director of their Guernsey based trust company, RBC Trustees (Guernsey) Limited.
