Mike Brown

Mike Brown became an articled clerk in a small accountancy practice in 1968, leaving in 1973 to become a management accountant to one of the larger audit clients. Following periods in both light engineering and commerce again as a management accountant and company secretary, he joined a Guernsey based trust company in 1981 assuming responsibility for client accounting. He progressed through the company reaching the board in 1991, having responsibility for business development.

He has worked for many Non-Domiciled UK resident families creating tax efficient structures to hold UK situs assets, particularly commercial real estate. Mike holds a Masters Degree in Corporate Governance and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries.

He has an extensive network of accountants and tax lawyers and, as a result, has a very good understanding of the UK tax system and how it is applied to offshore structures. Mike has spoken at seminars on a number of tax related topics.
